Kimberly Marie Adlerman received her degree in Communications Design from the University of Buffalo (now the State University of New York at Buffalo); during her tenure there she had the distinction of interning for Seymour Chwast, The Pushpin Group in New York City. Chwast, himself an icon in the field of design, proved to be influential in Kim's decision making path, and after receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Buffalo in 1987, she went to New York City.
Kimberly Adlerman was a freelance designer in New York City in 1988-1990. From 1990 to 1994 she was a senior designer at Macmillan Publishing in New York City. While working at Macmillan Publishing, she met her future husband Daniel Adlerman. Together they started publishing children's books under the joint pseudonym Kin Eagle. Their works include "Africa Calling", "Nighttime Falling" and "Rock-a-bye Baby", among others.
In 1994 she became a creative director of The Kids At Our House in Metuchen, New Jersey.

Kimberly married Daniel Ezra Adlerman on August 10, 1991. They have three children - Rachelle Eve, Joshua S., and Maxx Alec.
Kimberly and Daniel have had several furry critters over the years. Currently sharing their home with a cute mutt named Zoey and a shy, beautiful cat Bixby.
