Career
Kinsho Sawamura became a page to the lord (1699) and attended him in Edo. He suffered from mental disease and left the clan.
He went to Kyoto where he devoted himself to Confucian study for 18 years. He studied under Togai Ito for one year and then was influenced by Sorai Ogyu. He returned to Hikone where he became a teacher. He wrote many books.
