In June 1918, on orders from the underground Bobruisk committee of the Bolshevik Party, created a partisan detachment, which operated against the German troops.

From October 1942 to August 1943 successfully led a major partisan detachment "Falcons" in force in the territory of Baranovichi.
He was wounded seriously - lost both hands - but continued to lead the squad until the latter withdrew to a safe place. From August 1943 to December 1944 he worked in the KGB, Belarus.
Having lost the ability to personally participate in the work of security organs due to disability, KP Orlovsky sent a personal letter to Stalin, in which he asked permission to lead one of the most devastated farms in the Mogilev region of the Belarusian SSR, and gave a promise to revive it and make a farm-millionaire.
Orlovsky was approved by the Government of the USSR.
