Kiyoko Sewaga graduated from Toyo University, she is one of the disciples of noted folklore expert Kunio Yanagida.
Career
It was from around 1933 that she started studying the custom among the working women of Japan. The research she conducted shed light on how working women have, and are, earning their livelihood in Japan. Kiyoko Sewaga holds readership at the Otsuma Women's College.
