From 1920 professor at music and drama inst in Kiev. From 1933 professor, Moscow Conservatory. 1937-1953 founder-director, Studio for the Study of the Music of the Peoples of the USSR.
Studied and collected folk music of Slavs, Greeks, Moldavians, Geo, Arm, etc. Reconstructed historical geography of folk music. Many of Kvitka’s notations of Ukraine folk songs were adopted by choirs and radio broadcasts.
Made valuable studies of harmony and rhythm of folk songs, folk musical instruments and their technique. Collected over 6.000 folk songs.
Religious moral codes pervert people outside their group as less moral. Thus, religion is socially divisive and its effect is harmful for society.
Every Soviet citizen has rights to express his or her opinion, but it should be in accordance with the general interests of the society.
