Kohei Oiwa graduated from the Electric Section, Engineering Department, Tokyo University in 1890.
Career
Kohei Oiwa joined the Fukagawa Electric Light Company in Tokyo and was appointed an engineer of the Communications Ministry in 1891. He served as chief of the Telephone and Telegraph Installation Offices in Tokyo, Nagoya, Sendai and Hiroshima. Participated in the Universal Telegraph Conference held in Paris (1902). Was appointed chief of the Engineering Section, Osaka Communications Bureau (1903). Became a director of the Oki Electric Company in 1924.
