Koichi Uda was born in 1904 in Kochi Prefecture, Japan.
Since 1942 was elected to House of Representatives twice. Held additional posts of president of Hakuyo Steamship Company. Koichi Uda was a director-general of Economic Planning Agency, director-general of Scientific Technical Agency and chairman of Atomic Energy Commission. He became Minister of State in December, 1951. He was Minister of State in Ishibashi Cabinet in 1956-1957.
