Tada Komon was a Japanese historical researcher, a retainer of the Iwakura family. A calligrapher and composer of Chinese poems, he used the pseudonym of Tobu.
Tada Komon was born in 1845.
Tada became secretary of Tomomi Iwakura, chief of the Archives Section of the cabinet and commissioner of Imperial Household Ministry. He was an expert on Imperial Household regulations, customs and usages of the Imperial Court. Later Tobu acted as top adviser on Court ranks, Court ceremonies and functions.
