Krishna Subramanian leads marketing for the Cloud Platforms Group at Citrix where she is responsible for marketing the company’s rapidly growing cloud business –from core products including XenServer, CloudPlatform and CloudPortal to cloud solutions such as IT-as-a-Service. Krishna joined Citrix in May 2011 through the acquisition of Kaviza, the industry leader in easy affordable desktop virtualization. At Kaviza, Krishna served as chief operating officer, marketing, sales and alliances. Prior to Kaviza, Krishna led mergers and acquisitions for the Sun Microsystems Cloud Computing business that delivered over a half-billion dollars of incremental revenue. Before Sun, Krishna was the CEO and co-founder of Kovair, a software-as-a-service CRM company that grew to become a Computerworld Top 100 Emerging Company. Subramanian holds a Master’s degree in computer science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She brings over 20 years of industry experience to Citrix in enterprise software, virtualization and cloud computing.

Prior deals include SeeBeyond (SOA), Vaau & Neogent (Compliance & Identity), and investments in Greenplum (data-warehousing) and TimesTen (real-time DB).
Defined Sun's cloud business plan, strategy, business model, roadmap, and competitor/partner/m&a ecosystem as a formative executive member of a new BU focused on cloud computing.
