Career
Kumagai Naoie fought alongside his father in several battles, and his distinguished feats earned him high praise from Yoritomo Minamoto. After his father retired he served Yoritomo and then the Hojo family. During the Jookyu-no-ran was killed in action while fighting for Tokifusa Hojo at Seta (Shiga Prefecture).
