Kumaomi Oka studied under Kiyonushi Senke, a disciple of Normaga Moto-ori, noted scholar. He then became a disciple of Atsutane Hirata, Shintoist scholar.
Career
Proficient in martial arts and strategy, he promoted Shintoistic learning together with Takamasa Okuni, another retainer of the same clan, among young retainers.
