Rendered several researches such as "Research on Substances to Disintegrate Oil and Fat" and "Research on Sulphate of Oil." Received a doctorate (1922). Served as director of the Engineering Department of Tohoku University (1945-1951), contributing to the development of the university in its administrative supervision.
