LaDontae Henton is an American basketball player, who plays for Baloncesto Sevilla.
Education
A 6"6" small forward, Henton went to in Lansing, Michigan, where he was a four-time first-team all-state player and averaged 22.2 points per game for his career. He left as the fourth best rebounder in Michigan prep history, averaging 14.5 rebounds per game.
Career
Henton originally was set to attend Dayton, but after Dayton coach Brian Gregory left for Georgia Technical, he became new Providence coach Editor Cooley"s first recruit. In his freshman season, Henton averaged 14.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game and was named to the Big East Conference All-Rookie team As a senior, Henton enjoyed a breakout season.
After leading the Big East in scoring at 19.7 points per game, he was named first-team All-conference and helped lead the Friars to their second consecutive National Collegiate Athletic Association tournament appearance for the first time since the 1988-1989 and 1989-1990 seasons.
On August 21, 2015, Henton signed his first professional contract with Spanish League team Baloncesto Sevilla.
