Career
He played at the point guard and shooting guard positions. Clubs Kakiousis began his professional club career in 1987, with the Greek club Iraklis. He moved to the Greek club PAOK in 1997.
Greek national team He played at the EuroBasket 1993, the EuroBasket 1995, and the 1996 Summer Olympic Games.
He has represented Greece at senior level in 44 games, averaging 3.6 points per game. Kakiousis began his club coaching career, as the head coach of Iraklis in 2004.
In 2005, he became the head coach of AEK Athens, and in 2006, he became the assistant coach of Maroussi. In 2009, he once again took the head coaching job with Iraklis.
