Visiting member of faculty, summer session Columbia, 1946. Entered active duty United States Navy Reserve, 1943, served as commanding officer Navy V 12 Unit, University Miami, 1943-1944. Instructor training officer, standards and curriculum division Bureau Naval Personnel, Washington, 1945.

To inactive status 1945. Lieutenant commander of The United States Navy Reserve, since 1946. Commanding officer Reserve Research Company 6-4, 1957-1959.
