Leonid was born on 3 May in 1919 in the village of Studenka, now Bykhov district, Mogilev region in the family of the worker.

Leonid studied at Mogilev Pedagogical Institute.
From 1941 he studied at Tbilisi Artillery School in Tbilisi, Dushet'is Raioni, Georgia.
After graduation from Mogilev Pedagogical Institute Leonid worked as a director of the Borokolabovskaya elementary school.
In 1939, he was recruited in the Red Army.
In August 1941, he was sent to the front.
Mayor Daniluk distinguished himself during the combat operation near Bernay. In battles from April 16 to 25, 1945, the regiment inflicted considerable damage on the enemy in manpower and technology.
Since 1955, Lieutenant Colonel Danilyuk was sent to reserve. He worked in Kharkov, Mogilev. He lived in the town of Rogachev, Gomel region. He worked at one of the enterprises of the city.
He died on September 24, 1986. He was buried in the town of Bykhov in the Mogilev region.
By the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR’s Decree, May 31, 1945, Daniluk Leonid Semenovich was awarded Hero of the Soviet Union title “for exemplary fulfillment of combat missions of the command at the front in the struggle against the German invaders and courage and heroism shown at that time” and received the Gold Star and Order of Lenin.
School in Berau was named after him.
In 1942 Leonid became the member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
