Graduate Providence High School (Master of Arts, Brown). Intended to study at Brown U. but stricken by illness which lasted for four years, upon recovery went to New York to study medicine however his interests were diverted to science and religous studies.

Instructor in history, Adelphia College, Brooklyn, 1894-1895. Director Cambridge Conferences and Monsalvat School of Comparative Religion, since 1896.

President Free Religious Association of America, since 1899. Author: A Study of Primitive Christianity, 1887.
