She graduated from University Tennessee where she's got the Bachelor of Science degree in 1969.
Linda worked as an editor Universal Black Writer Press in New York City since 1979. Then she became a Public consultant Brooklyn since 1985. She also worked as an Instructor English, writing and business skills Brooklyn Young Women’s Christian Association since 1985. She has produced and hosted a travel talk show for WNYE radio station, Medgar Evers College, Brooklyn.
She has independent political views.
In 1981-1983, she was a member of the board of directors of the Alonzo Players Theater in Brooklyn. She was also the founder of collective African American publications since 1984 and a member of the advisory board "Sisterhood of Black Single Mothers" in Brooklyn in 1985.
