Graduated from the Lunacharskii State Institute of Theatrical Arts in 1970.
National ice-dancing champion 9 times between 1964-1975. Honoured Master of Sports, 1970. Coached by E. Chaikovskaia.
With her husband Aleksandr Gorshkov, dominated icedancing in the 1970s winning 6 world championships for the Soviet Union. First Olympic gold medal in Innsbruck in 1976. After their Olympic triumph, she retired, but remained in the sport as a coach, making a big impact with her artistic ideas.
In charge of young talents such as Natalia Annenko and Genrikh Sretenskii.
