In 1960 Loralee graduated from Bryn Mawr College and received his Bachelor of Arts degree. She received a degree of Master of Arts from California State University, 1970. Also in 1976 she graduated from University of California at Los Angeles and received a Doctor of Philosophy degree.
From 1975-1978 Loralee worked as an Assistant professor at University of Hawaii, Honolulu. She held a position of an Associate professor to professor literature at California State University, San Bernardino, 1978-1997 and she was retired in 1998. Since 1999 she is an Editor of public Lesbian Review Books, Hilo, Hawaii.
