He was educated at Purdue University, Mr. Crawford later completed a course in Architecture at the University of Illinois.
He established an office at Santa Maria in 1929, and during professional practice there was commissioned architect of a number of important buildings among which were the new City Hall and Knights of Pythias Building, and in association with Philip Daniel the new Public Library. Mr. Crawford also designed schools and a number of private residences in various locations.
A charter member of the Santa Barbara Chapter, A.I.A. in 1929, and formerly Vice-president and District Advisor of the California State Association of Architects.
