Career

Removed to Batavia, Illinois, 1876, and engaged in manufacturing. Invented the Noyes dictionary holder, 1879, and invented and patented more than 100 mechanic devices. Began manufacturer of agricultural implements and organized the Aermotor Company, of which became president President trustees Chicago Academy Sciences.

Governing life member The Art Institute of Chicago Chicago.

Trustee Lewis Institute. Member Civic Federation Chicago.

Vice president general National Society Sons of the American Revolution President Illinois Manufacturers Association, National Business League of North. America. Gave Ida Noyes Hall to University of Chicago, as memorial.

Many scholarships for boys of Lewis Institute Home: Chicago, Illinois.
