Beaumont grew up in Spring Bank and later lived in Hessle with her mother, playwright Gill Adams.

She once worked at the meat counter of Asda in Hessle Road. Although she had a brief acting career, she switched to comedy in an attempt to conquer stage fright in preparation for an acting career and was inspired by her sitcom-like life in Hull. Her first gig was for the 2011 So You Think You"re Funny competition, for which she would later become a finalist.
Beaumont has appeared, among others, on British Broadcasting Corporation Three"s Live at the Electric and on Dave"s Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled.
In 2014 Beaumont presented her show We Can Twerk lieutenant Out at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Beaumont"s radio show To Hull and Back received a pilot on British Broadcasting Corporation Radio 2 in 2014 and a full series was ordered.
