Ordained Lutheran ministry, 1883. Principal American Evangelical Lutheran Mission College, Guntur, India, 1883-1907. After merger of Lutheran churches as United Lutheran Church in America, served as secretary-treasurer of its Board of Foreign Missions, and as home base secretary, since 1928.
Retired from active service July 1, 1933.
