Career
Carson served as a missionary for the church in Austria. The music to the hymns "In Fasting We Approach Thee" and "Sabbath Day" (number 139 and 148 in the 1985 English-language Latter- Day Saints (Mormons) Hymnbook) is by Carson. Carson also wrote the book The Tintic War and the Deaths of George and Washington Carson.
