Lynn Faith Gladden, Commander of the Order of the British Empire, Federal Reserve System, FREng is the Shell Professor of Chemical Engineering and was Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Cambridge up until 1 October 2010.
Education
Gladden obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Physics at the University of Bristol in 1982 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Chemistry at Cambridge in 1987. She is a Chartered Chemist and Chartered Engineer, being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Institution of Chemical Engineers and the Institute of Physics.
Career
She is also a Pro-Vice Chancellor from 1 January 2010 and a Fellow of Trinity College since 1999. She is the lead researcher at the university"s magnetic resonance research centre (MRRC).
