Maizie Cummings-Rocke is an American museum specialist involved with collections management, informal science and history education, exhibits.
Education
Maizie studied at Miami Dade College in Miami, Florida, United States. In 1982 she became an associate of Arts. In two year she was a student of the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. She received a degree of the Bachelor of Science in anthropology. In 1991 she studied at George Washington University in Washington, District of Columbia, United States. She became a Master of Arts in the area of museum studies.
Career
In 1979 Maizie worked at the education and collections department of the museum of science in Miami, Florida, United States. She held this position until 1984. In 1983 she was an archaeological technician of the Southeastern Archae Center in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. In a year she became an office assistant of the anthropology department od the Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. In 1985 she was a receptionist of the Bouterse and Fabregas Architects in Coral Gables, Florida, United States. Also. In this year she worked at the Craft services department of Cannon Films in Miami, Florida, United States. From 1985 to 1987 she worked at the subscriptions department of the American Physiological Society in Bethesda, Maryland, United States. In this year she became a Subscriptions department of the American Physiological Society in Bethesda, Maryland, United States. She worked there for two years. In 1990 she worked as an assistant to contract economist at the United Nations in Washington, District of Columbia, United States. From 1990 to 1992 she was an administrative assistant of the Law Offices of Howard B. Teller and Associates in Rockville, Maryland, United States.
From 1991 to 1993 she worked as a collections registrar of the Tudor Pl. Historic House in Washington, District of Columbia, United States. In 1992 Maizie became an administrative assistant of the Capital Consultant Corporation in Rockville, Maryland, United States. In two year she became a secretary and paralegal of the Law Offices of Howard B. Teller in Rockville, Maryland, United States. Shw held this position until 1999. In 2000 she became a manager of the Museum and Research Library Collections Peerless Rockville Historic Preservation, Ltd. She worked there for seven years. In 2003 she became a manager of the Museum Collections, Gaithersburg Community Museum. She held this position until 2010. In a year she worked at the program and exhibit development. She worked there for four years. From 2013 to 2015 she was a finance and operations manager and director. In 2015 she became a director of exhibits of the Rockville Science Center.
