By writing and expressing his sincere thoughts, he can influence others to understand man's inhumanity to man. It is hoped that this understanding can lead to a more just and perfect society of humans on the planet Earth. Jones is motivated by a sense of justice and believes that the truth revealed will alone change adverse human behavior. His writing process involves inspiration, perspiration, and revelation. He usually has a desire to "felt need" to write about some events that inspired his thoughts. Therefore, when Jones writes about Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome and black males, black unemployment, black male incarceration rates and racism, and black urbanization, he is concerned for a part of humanity in which he is a member. Marcus Jones also believes that other members of society who read his thoughts should be motivated to behave in a positive rather than a negative manner.
