In 2011, Calloway first gained attention online by posting various short-form essays and blog posts regarding sexuality, including a piece titled "Adrien Brody" which was published on literary provocateur Tao Lin"s website Muumuu House website. The story told of the protagonist"s affair with what appeared to be the editor of a famous New York magazine. She has since written a follow up piece titled "Jeremy Lin."
