Her first poems Marina tsvetaeva wrote at the age of 6 , moreover , she was doing it not only in Russian , but also in German and French.
In 1910 , Marina Tsvetaeva self-published her first collection of poems Evening Album . The second collection of poems , that were diverse and attracted a lot of attention of famous poets of that time , was called The Magic Lantern and was released after her marriage in 1912. Tsvetaeva was very good at languages and she translated for a living as poetry wasn’t profitable at all in comparison with translations.
A cycle of poems The Girlfriend , dedicated to her relationship with Sofia Parnok , was published in 1916. It should be mentioned that Tsvetaeva was writing a lot , daily dedicating a few hours to poetry.
During the Civil War a famous cycle The Encampment of the Swans , dedicated to the feat of the white officers was published . She also wrote romantic plays and poems in particular Tsar-Maiden, Egorushka , On a Red Horse .
An affair with Konstantin Rodzevitch inspired Tsvetaeva to write renowned collections of poems The Poem of the Mountain and The Poem of the End . Last collection of poems published during Tsvetaeva’s lifetime was released in Paris , where in 1928 the family moved from Czechoslovakia . But the main part of her poems remained unpublished and Marina earned money translating and holding readings.
