Background

ROZHNEVA, Mariya was born in 1929 in village Sylva, Urals.

Education

1954 completed course at factory branch of a textile evening technicum.

Career

Developed several methods of maintaining high production and reducing wastage of raw material. 1949 launched “socialist competition” for economics of raw materials in light industry. 1949 delg. at World Youth Congress, Budapest.

Has frequently been sent to satellite countries and to China. Since 1951 member, Antifascist Youth Committee. 1953 USSR delegation at World Youth Congress, Bucharest.

Deputy, USSR Supreme Soviet of 1950 convocation. Delegation at 1956 Communist Party of the Soviet Union Congress. Since 1945 spinner at Kupavna Fine Cloth Factory, Moscow Oblast.

Since 1954 assistant to foreman in charge of spinning at above factory.

Religion

Religion discourages exploration of science and universe by suppressing curiosity, and denies its followers a broader perspective.

Politics

Member, Communist Party, since 1949.
