Joined American Ballet Theatre. Created role of: Medusa in Undertow. Prima Ballerina, Ballet de Monte Carlo 1948, American Ballet Theater 1960.

Created leading roles in: Somnambula, Concerto Barrocco, Les Biches, Bolero, Idylle, Prisoner of the Caucasus and Annabel Lee.

Premiere Danseuse Etoile, Paris Opera since 1957. Leading roles in: The Firebird, Les Noces Fantastiques, Giselle, Conte Cruel, Concerto and numerous other ballets.

Prima Ballerina, Hamburg State Opera since 1965. Chevalier du Nicham-Iftikar.
