Portions have been deleted, clarified, or rearranged to provide a closer relationship between the theoretical material and the actual teaching of nursing students. Emphasis remains on the importance of the teacher selecting a variety of teaching strategies based on characteristics of both students and teachers and is directed to teachers who are trying to expand their repertoire of teaching strategies, those who are learning to teach and those who teach nurses and nursing students in a variety of situations.
