Hiemstra, Marvin Roy was born on July 27, 1939 in Pella, Iowa, United States. Son of Martin Jess and Henrietta Catherine Hiemstra.


Bachelor with honors, State University Iowa, 1962. Master of Arts, Indiana University, 1966.
