Mary Ann Farquhar was an associate professor of Asian studies at Griffith University in Queensland, Australia. Presently, she is Professor Emeritus at the Department of Business Strategy and Innovation.
As the author, in 1999, Mary wrote Children's Literature in China: From Lit Xun to Mao Zedong. Her China on Screen: Cinema and Nation came out in 2006 and was co-authored with Chris Berry.
