After marriage studied privately and received A.M. degree from College Temple, Newman, Georgia Edited Literary Crusader, Atlanta, 1862, and Natchitoches (Louisiana) Tri-Weekly. Associate editor The Sunny South, 1874-1884, then editor New York Bazaar (magazine) and afterward of The Half Hour Magazine, New York. Returned about 1895 to The Sunny South.
