Masaharu studied at Shizuoka University in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Japan from 1972 to 1974. He received a degree of the Bachelor in Synthetic Chemistry. In this year Masaharu studied at Tohoku University. In 1975 he was a student of the University of California in Berkeley, California, United States. In 1977 he became a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering. From 1977 to 1980 Masaharu studied at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, United States. He received a degree of the Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering.
Career
Masaharu worked as a Research Associate at the Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan from 1980 to 1990.
