Masanori was a student of the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Tokyo, Japan. In 1973 he became a Master in Engineering. In three years he became a Doctor in Engineering.
Masanori worked as a research associate at Kumamoto University in Japan from 1976 to 1979. In 1977 he was a postdoctoral researcher at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, United States. He worked there for two years. Since 1979 Masanori worked as a research and development manager in CBMM International Limited in Tokyo, Japan. From 1982 to 1987 he became an associate professor at Kanazawa Institute of Technology in Japan. In this year he became a senior researcher in advanced technical research laboratory Nippon Steel Company in Kawasaki, Japan. He held this position until 1992.
In 1992 he became a chief researcher in the advanced technical research laboratory in Japan. He worked until 1997. From 1997 to 2002 Masanori was a professor at Kanazawa Institute of Technology in Japan. In two years he worked as a guest professor at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in Tokyo, Japan. He worked there for three years.
Masanori married to Mamiko Ota on September 3, 1983 (deceased in June 1993). They have two children: Mao, Tadamasa.
