Career
Served as reporter of the Yomiuri Shimbun, editorial staff of the Hochi Shimbun and director of Domei News Agency, entered politics (1942) and elected to the House of Representatives. Since then elected five times. Toured Soviet Union (1954) as head of the Diet Members visiting that country. Director of the Japan-China Trade Promotion League.
