He graduated from Physics Department of Tokyo University (1934).
Career
Masao Sugimoto served at Hitachi Seisakusho (Hitachi Manufactory), Kaigun Gijutsu Kenkyiijo (Navy Technical Research Institute) and Machinery Experimental Station of Commerce & Industry Department and then as chief of the 3rd Department of Machinery Experimental Station of Board of Industrial Technique, becoming director of the same board (1954). He held additional post of lecturer at Tokyo University.
