Matsusuke Kawamura served successively as member of Morioka Municipal Assembly, president of Morioka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, chairman of Iwate Prefectural Federation of Textile Products Retailers Associations, director of Hanamaki Electric Railway Company, president of Hanamaki Hot Springs Company and director of Morioka Land and Building Company.
He held additional posts of president of Ivvate Prefectural Textile Products Company and trustee of Japan Red Cross Society.
