Prior to creating NAPW, Matthew founded Cambridge Publishing, a Long Island-based company, specializing in business-to-business and business-to-consumer networking, targeted to executives, professionals and entrepreneurs. Within five years, Cambridge Publishing sales grew from $5 million to over $40 million.

Proman leads a unique partnership with the Urban League that provides NAPW members the opportunity to mentor young girls who participate in the Urban League of Essex County’s Newark, New Jersey-based after school program
Proman’s charitable initiatives have included raising over $250,000 for such organizations as Mountain. Sinai Hospital in New York City, the National Diabetes Foundation, the Jack Martin Foundation for Terminally Illinois Children and other regional and local causes – creating a meaningful, positive impact on the lives of others Proman created the NAPW Rising Stars Education Scholarship Program, awarding scholarships to graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students who attend an accredited college, university or certified trade school in the United States. Open to daughters of organization members, the scholarships are awarded to five outstanding students.
