Duc Michael De La Force (commonly known as Michael de la Force) is an American publisher, photojournalist, actor and public health leader based in New York. He is also listed as Duc Michael Shane De La Force in Marquis Who's Who in America, 2020-2021 edition. Career: De La Force is publisher of LIKE Magazine, founded in 1965, and Chief Executive Officer of Leadership Media Development Corporation, a New York domestic business corporation incorporated in 2023. He is a member of the New York Press Club. He has held White House press credentials and has photographed President Barack Obama and other public figures. He has documented lineage to the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) and the Huguenot Society. Public health: During the COVID-19 pandemic he completed New York State's Citizen Public Health Training, offered by the New York State Department of Health and developed with Cornell's Master of Public Health program. The State recognizes him as a State Public Health Leader. He completed the training with a perfect score. Acting: He has been a member of SAG-AFTRA since 1998 and has appeared in the CBS daytime drama As the World Turns. Humanitarian and civic work: On July 11, 2014, he was endorsed to the Goodwill Diplomatic Corps by the national president of PPSEAWA USA (Pan-Pacific and Southeast Asia Women's Association), a United Nations non-governmental organization; he has been a PPSEAWA member for more than 15 years. In March 2026 he received a Certificate of Achievement from the NGO CSW70 Forum. On January 7, 2020 the Borough of Dumont, New Jersey appointed him to its Beautification Committee. Michael de la Force is an American publisher. He is currently the publisher of LIKE Magazine, founded in 1965. Michael de la Force is a regular contributor to the Michael de la Force Daily and a variety of other publications and news information sites.
Acting career. Michael de la Force also is an actor who appeared on the American soap opera As the World Turns from January 2000 through the end of the shows' 56-year run. He was the cast member who played the creator and Abraham Lincoln in the Obie Award-winning production of Thornton Wilder's "Skin of our Teeth" of 2002. Michael has appeared in film as well. He played the role of Elvis Presley in Stuart Goldman's production for A&E's Elvis and June; A Love Story, an FBI agent in Dick Lowry's The Line of Duty: Ambush in Waco, a photographer in Andy Tennant's Sweet Home Alabama among others.
Journalism Career. De la Force began his career with Leaders Magazine in 1994 and maintains his credentials to date. He has visited with and interviews many the world’s most powerful leaders including, the president of Iceland, Ólafur Ragnar, Grímsson, United States President, Gerald R. Ford and Premier Li Peng of China among others.
Photo Journalistic Career. Michael de la Force began his photography career in 2008. The name "Michael de la Force™" was trademarked for image purposes. One of the more notable achievements with the new trademark was receiving White house Press Pool Credentials and photographing US President Barrack Obama in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 2010.
Organizations. Michael de la Force is an active member of the New York Press Club. He is a member in good standing with the Screen Actors Guild.
