Michael Drosnin was born on January 31, 1946, in New York, United States. He is the son of Edward and Evelyn (Freed) Drosnin.
Drosnin received his education at Columbia University, graduating from it with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1966.
Michael Drosnin began his career as a journalist at the Washington Post, after completing his education at Columbia University. He then left the Washington Post for the Wall Street Journal. By 1970 he had parted company with that paper as well. Since his days as a regular staff reporter, Drosnin has been responsible for two very widely read books. The first, Citizen Hughes, was published in 1985. This nonfiction volume examines approximately four years in the life of the late eccentric billionaire Howard Hughes. Another Drosnin book, 1997 The Bible Code, discusses the possibility that the first five books of the Old Testament, known as the Torah to Jewish believers, have encoded within them predictions which Drosnin calls “probabilities,” some of which have occurred and others which may yet occur in the future.
Drosnin then wrote the second book in 2002 named The Bible Code II: The Countdown. His book The Bible Code III: Saving the World (October 2010), is also in the market.
