During a 20 year career at Sequoia Capital, Michael led approximately 50 early and growth-stage technology investments with many highly successful exits. Among them: Viptela ($610M by CSCO, 5/1/17), Quantenna ($606M mkt cap, 10/28/16 IPO), Infoblox ($1.6B by Vista Equity, 9/19/16), StemCentrx ($10.2B by ABBV, 4/28/16), OpenDNS ($635M by CSCO, 6/30/15), Virident ($685M by WDC, 9/13/13), Litepoint ($580M by TER, 9/14/11), Netscreen ($4B by JNPR, 2004), Avanex ($10B peak mkt cap, 2000), Redback Networks ($18.1B peak mkt cap, 2000). Prior to Sequoia Michael spent 10 years in various engineering, research, and product management roles at DEC, SynOptics, and Centillion, and was a director of Engineering at Bay Networks (NT).
