Michael Alekseevich Voronovv was a writer, publicist, and prosaist. He worked as a secretary of the Sovremennik magazine and published his works in the Saint Petersburg periodicals. His works were published in Russian word and Business magazines, as well as in the newspaper Nedelya.
Background
Michael Alekseevich Voronov was born on September 5, 1840, in Yalta, Krym, Russian Federation. He was born into a large family. Since 1843, the family lived in Saratov, where the father first served as a prison warden, then as a fire brigade chief. As for the education of Voronov, his father used rough and heavy treatment of children, whom he judged in a military way, but sought to educate them.
Education
In 1848-1855, Michael Alekseevich studied at the Saratov gymnasium, where he was strongly influenced by the teacher of literature N. G. Chernyshevsky. After graduating from it, he entered in 1856 the medical faculty of Kazan University, following the trends of the time. Classes did not correspond to his impressionable nature, and after 2 years, he left for Moscow, where he decided to study law at the university, but in 1858 he moved to Saint Petersburg.
Career
In 1858-1861 Michael Alekseevich was a private secretary and a trustee of Chernyshevsky. At the end of 1861-may 1862, he became Secretary of the Sovremennik editorial office. Fascinated by literary work, he abandoned his intention to study at the University. He made his debut in Time magazine with the autobiography My childhood (1861) and my youth (1862). Michael Alekseevich also published his works in Sovremennik, Russian word (Through fire, water, and copper pipes 1863), Library for reading (Comedy in the hall 1863).
In 1863-1865, Michael Alekseevich lived in Moscow in need, worked as a day laborer, and wandered through night shelters. He became a writer of the social bottom (Moscow burrows and slums 1866).
