From 1993 to 1995 Mock was an editorial assistant of Legacy: Journal of American Women Writers, and a managing editor from 1996 to 1998. From 1994 to 1995 she served as an adjunct instructor at Westmoreland County Community College.
From 1995 to 1996 Michele L. Mock was an instructor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In 1996 she was appointed an assistant professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. In 1999 she was a juror for writing awards at Johnstown Community Arts Center.
She is a contributor to Aleta Cane and Susan Alves's book "The Only Efficient Instrument": American Women Writers and the Periodical (2001).
