1999Michelle Calabro Hubbard once commented: “I began a writing career because I’ve always loved to write and thought I could tell a good story. Fortunately, I had no idea how hard writing is, or I probably would have quit a long time ago. After six years, two Internal Revenue Service audits, and at least 200 rejections, my First book Sour Notes, a Hawaiian-style ‘Sweet Valley High,’ was published.
“I’m still getting as many rejections as acceptances, but I know my writing keeps getting better and, thanks to a new writing routine, my enthusiasm is riding high. I’m working on several different projects and have ideas for a lot more.
“Writing can be a brutal business, and I’ve had to take breaks from it to lick my wounds. I have a fabulous husband, a spoiled rotten parrot named Flash, and a garden that can’t get enough of my attention. Writing has to be one more good thing, or there just isn’t room for it. No matter how long my breaks are, writing always calls me back. It’s a call I love to answer.”
Quotations: "I speak and teach ways to release yourself from the grip of fear and show up as your Truth."
