Eoyang received the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Wellesley College. Also she earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California Hastings College Law.
Eoyang began her career as a defense aide to Senator Ted Kennedy at the United States Senate in 2003. The same year she became a professional staff member of the United States Senate Committee on Health, Labor and Pensions, and the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary. Also Mieke served as a defense policy advisor to Senator Ted Kennedy at the United States Senate from 2004 to 2005. Then in 2005 she was appointed a defense policy counsel to Senator Ted Kennedy.
In 2007, Eoyang took a position of a legislation assistant to Republican Pat Schroeder at the United States House of Representatives, where he worked until 2009. The same years she was a legal counsel at the United States House Select Committee on Intelligence. In 2009, Mieke held a position of a legislation counsel and a professional staff member in 2010 at that committee. Since 2010 she has been a chief of staff at Office of Representative Anna Eshoo.
