Educated Academy de Bellas Artes, Mexico City, and Escuela al Aire Libre, Santa Anita, as pupil of Ramos Martinez, 1913. Joined forces of revolution, 1914. With José del Pozo, founded the Escuela de Bellas Artes, Mérida, 1916.
Has taken part in various archeological expeditions since 1916.
